Have you ever felt like someone has stolen something you felt was rightfully yours?
I know I have.
I have been thinking and growing on this subject for the last couple of months.
It is one of the hardest things to wrap your head around.
After putting hard work in or just feeling like something is or should be yours and then seeing someone walk away with what you feel you’ve worked so hard for.
How many hours put in working to get good marks on an exam. How hard you worked to impress your table but still walked away with a bad tip. How long you wait in line just for something to be sold out. How much effort you put in just for someone not to notice.
It’s one of the most terrible feelings because sometimes as hard as you may try, you can’t shake that feeling of unfairness.
What I have learnt is that absolutely nobody can take away or prevent what God has planned for you.
God planned us from beginning to end.
Psalm 136:16 – Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
God knows our every step, He knows every hair on our head, God knows our thoughts and our desires. He never tires of us, He never stops loving us and He always delights in us.
Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope
I’m writing this as a reminder that sometimes things don’t work out the way we plan it to, but what happens doesn’t come as a surprise to God. He created everything. There is nothing that you can think of or do to escape God’s love and His plan for us.
Proverbs 16:9 – We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps
The best part about God’s plans for us is that they are GOOD.
Even if things don’t look good God turns those things to work out for our good. Isn’t He just amazing?
I love that God loves us and cares about us enough to have so much concern for us and our well being.
Sometimes it may be hard to overcome the feeling of being treated unfairly, but we are more than conquerors through Christ and He has equipped us to make it through even the toughest of times and feelings.
Just always be encouraged that God has our best interests at heart and that nothing could ever separate His love for us.
Until next time,
